We traveled to Las Vegas this year from November 8-11th with Glen's parents. It was our third time to Vegas and the sixth time for the parents. We had an enjoyable stay at the MGM Grand, we couldn't believe how long the hallways were at the hotel. Once we got off the elevator, it felt as though we were walking forever to our hotel room. It was relatively quiet in Vegas due to the happenings of September. The traffic on the Strip was minimal and the audience for the free water show at the Bellagio was quite small. There was never a problem in viewing the show from a front spot.
Some new sites for us were the Paris and Venetian hotels, the top of the Stratosphere and its rides, the roller-coaster at Sahara, the dinner magic show at Caesar's Palace, and the laser light show on Freemont Street- "old Las Vegas". We had an enjoyable 3 days- minus the Canada 3000 bankruptcy issue- with a warm 20 degrees Celsius weather. To read more about our trip, see the December 2001 newsletter.
